Economic development of local communities based on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
This first part essentially presents the activities carried out during the implementation of Project 1 by the association Action for Youth and Environment. The trainers, along with the project manager and their partners, provided a series of theoretical training sessions followed by several practical exercises to easily assimilate the lessons learned. The participants gained skills in business, leadership, entrepreneurship, and sexual health. They learned how to produce their own vegetable oil for cooking and even built a biodegradable stove for optimal and sustainable cooking. The organization members expressed their gratitude to World Connect for their continuous support and financial assistance. These training sessions have contributed to the development of their rural communities, specifically in the town of Koza, which is currently witnessing various opportunities and organizations led by the women who participated in this project.
